Asking for "just one dollar donation" freshman, Molly Ferguson stands on the corner of Route 260 with fellow teammate, freshman Jenna Hakun. Ferguson was nervous about entering a team with girls that she didn't know. "The car wash was a real ice breaker, everyone got to know each other on a different level instead of just their position on the field." said Ferguson.

With a cut out soccer ball on her head to attract attention, freshman Jenna Hakun flags down passing cars to come support the soccer team's car wash. As a freshman, she had never raised money for a high school team. "The cars were going pretty fast, we had to do anything we could to get their attention. We even yelled at the top of our lungs! Most of them didn't even slow down to look at us, but some were nice enough to pull over and make a donation." said Hakun.

As they scrubbed the cars with brushes and sponges, sophomore Kristina Lozupone helps her team raise money during the Girls Soccer Wash. Lozupone has already bonded with her fellow teammates along with their parents that came out to help. "We raised a ton of money for new uniforms and bags. In the end, that was the main goal, and we reached it." said Lozupone.

With caked on grease, senior Lauren Soper scrubs her own rims and tires when there weren't any patrons to service. After four hours of washing other people's cars, Soper was ready to have her own ride shined up. "The hardest part about the car wash was getting the people in and out so they wouldn't have to wait for us to finish. We raised about two thousand dollars and scrubbed about two hundred cars but it was worth every minute." said Soper.

Eyeing up his next shot, senior Jawan Hawkins plays basketball at his friend's house. Although he has never played for Northern, he has been involved in basketball for almost eleven years. "Even though I like to play for fun, my real love for sports are in lacrosse and football." said Hawkins.
